Our Approach: Replenish, Not Sterilize

Conventional agriculture and industry have spent decades trying to sterilize problems away — stripping soil, treating waste, and controlling nature with force. We take a different path.
Our microbial platforms work with biology, not against it. Instead of eliminating microbial life, we cultivate and multiply it — restoring balance to soil, water, and waste systems so they can regenerate on their own. It’s a simple shift in philosophy that changes everything downstream: healthier soil, cleaner waste streams, and agricultural systems that sustain themselves instead of depleting over time.

Our Story

OMSA Biosystems™ was founded on a simple frustration: too much promising biotechnology never leaves the laboratory. Brilliant microbial research sits in journals and pilot studies while farms, factories, and communities keep struggling with the same waste and soil problems it could solve.

We set out to close that gap — building proprietary fermentation reactors, deployable microbial platforms, and scalable production systems that take biotechnology from concept to commercial reality. Today, our technologies support environmental management, sustainable agriculture, functional health products, and industrial waste recovery across Malaysia and international markets.

Our Team

Mark Voon & David Voon are the biotechnology innovators behind OMSA Biosystems™, specializing in microbial technology, fermentation engineering, environmental biotechnology, and sustainable agriculture. Together, they’ve developed proprietary reactor systems and deployment platforms that convert organic waste into agricultural, environmental, and consumer products — work that has earned government grant support, national media recognition, and international collaboration across waste management and agricultural biotechnology projects.

Rebecca Choong supports OMSA Biosystems’ biotechnology and microbiome projects through digital knowledge management, scientific communication, and commercialization. She helps translate complex research into clear, accessible resources — bridging the gap between the science we develop and the people who rely on it, from partners and distributors to the communities we serve.
